  1. How long are applications kept on file?
    Applications are kept on file for one year. If we do not have an appropriate opening when you apply, we will hold on to it for a suitable future opportunity.

  2. How do I follow-up with my application?
    You will receive either an e-mail or postcard to let you know that we have received your application. We will contact you within two weeks if there is a proper opening to schedule an interview.

  3. What do you look for in a Stew Leonard's Team Member?
    We look for Team Members who have a great attitude and will go above and beyond to give customers great service. Depending on the position, we may look for applicants who have experience in a particular area. In addition, to accommodate our business needs, we look for Team Members with a flexible schedule.

  4. What steps are involved in the hiring process?
    If we have suitable opening for you, we will invite you in for a first interview. You may also meet with a department manager or supervisor to discuss the job opportunity in more detail. All employment opportunities are contingent upon the successful completion of SSN verification, clearance of I-9 information, background check and drug test results.

  5. I'm interested in a Full-Time position, but I don't see any Full-Time current openings. How does someone become Full-Time at Stew Leonard's?
    While we may not have a Full-Time opening, we encourage you to consider the Part-Time opportunities we have available. Part-time positions are a great way to experience our company, develop your skills, and enjoy the culture at Stew Leonard's. We are proud to say we promote from within the company for Full-Time openings. In fact, more than 80% of our Managers have been promoted from within. As a Part-Time employee you will have the first opportunity to apply for these openings as they become available.

  6. How old do I have to be to work at Stew Leonard's and in what departments can I work?
    During the summer time our Team Members can be as young as 15 years of age. The rest of the year, our minimum age is 16 or 17 years based on the required equipment used as well as labor laws. Most of our minor Team Members work in the Front End. In fact, some of our Managers started when they were in High School. Please be aware that these positions are limited during the year. We love to see our young TM's grow at Stew's!

  7. Will the information I share on my Employment Application be shared with anyone outside of Stew Leonard's?
    No. Stew Leonard's understands that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will use the information wisely and legitimately. We will hold all such information gathered through this career site in the strictest of confidence.
